Jordan Solomon is a Philadelphia-area bass trombonist recognized for his resonant tone, expressive artistry, and commanding musical presence. A versatile performer, he appears in a wide range of settings, from core symphonic and chamber repertoire to contemporary works.
Jordan has performed with numerous ensembles, including the Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Boston Philharmonic, SFS Symphony, New Bedford Symphony, Marlton Brass Quintet of New Jersey, Boston Trombone Quartet, Inscape Chamber Ensemble, the Bob Brookmeyer Big Band, the New England Conservatory Brass Bash, OYR Symphony, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and the NEC Symphony Orchestra, among others. His international performance experience includes appearances in Italy, Russia, and the Czech Republic.
Jordan attended the New England Conservatory of Music on a full scholarship, where he studied with Doug Yeo of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He has also studied with Adam Rainey of the Detroit Symphony, Paul Rivera, Aidan Ritchie, and George Vilsmeier. In addition to his conservatory training, Jordan holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University.
Alongside his performing career, Jordan maintains an active private teaching studio in the Philadelphia area. He is a founding member of the Brass Masters Society and is trained in the Art of the Breath teaching system.
Jordan resides in the Philadelphia area with his wife and daughter.
